Major Project Proposal for Paul Smith
My idea for a major project page is to create a "Jeopardy" like game on the web for students to review networking concepts for the Cisco Networking program. My best guess is to use client side DHTML or Java Script mouse down rollovers to reveal the questions. Macromedia's Flash is an option too. Then I might deploy popup windows for each question so the text will be more readable. On this popup menu I would like to have two buttons: "correct" and "incorrect" so that the game will keep score. Actual it would be a bar with six buttons. "Correct", "icorrect", and "negate" for two teams, the red and the blue. "Negate" would erase score for answers incorrectly tallied.
I'm pretty sure I can get the basic game to work, but the scoring part is a whole other story as I am not sure I have the programming skills to pull that part off. I might have to seek out some help for that.
If this game idea does not fall together in a way that I think it should, my fall back plan is to create a Website for the Centennial Cisco Networking Academy as creatively as possible.
