Before School:

Note:  Teachers should not send their students to the lab during class time unless the teacher will be accompanying them.  There is no supervision in the computer lab during class times.

During Lunch Periods:

Two computers on carts are available for classroom use:  A 32" screen Gateway Destination Unit and a ThinkPad with a projector.  These units are to be used primarily for class presentations.  Please do not request either of these units to show a video tape.  Check out a TV-VCR unit from the Audio-visual department to show videos.

Carmel has 6 laptop computers configured for the network which may be used in a classroom or checked out for use at home by a faculty member.  Please see the technology director to reserve these computers.

Reserving a Computer Lab, the Destination Unit, or the IBM Think Pad

The procedure is the same for requesting the use of a computer lab, the Destination Unit, or the IBM ThinkPad. 

Reserving a Digital Camera

Carmel has 3 digital cameras for class use.  One of them is also a video camera.  The form for requesting a digital camera is in the technology director's office.

Videos, Tutorials, Magazines and Educational Software Catalogues

Many tutorial videos, CD tutorials, computer magazines and educational software catalogues are available for teacher and staff use in the Technology Director's office.  The form for checking these out is in the Technology Director's office.

Requests will be honored on a first-com, first-serve basis.   All equipment and materials signed out should be returned in good condition to computer room 505 or the technology director.  All requests are subject to the approval of the technology director.
