LocalTalk

LOCAL TALK

Is a type of local area network that was created by Apple for Apple computers. Since it is a local area network it would be used to connect computers to each other and to printers, scanner and other peripherals.

LOCAL TALK - is the cabling scheme supported by the AppleTalk network protocol for Macintosh computers. Most local-area networks that use AppleTalk, such as TOPS, also conform to the LocalTalk cable system. Such networks are sometimes called LocalTalk networks. Although LocalTalk networks are relatively slow, they are popular because they are easy and inexpensive to install and maintain. LOCAL TALK
