Below you find a current list as of June 2000 of some resources available for grants and grant writing. These are all educationally relevant for teacher. I hope they help.

Page Title and Summary

SchoolGrants.org This site is a very educator friendly page. It's designed not only to have resources available for effective grant writing, but it also researches current grant opportunities for educators and sorts them by state. The site also contains samples of finished proposals and a section on contests for students and teachers

:Polaris Grant Central This page appears a little more business oriented. It does have similar resources with grant writing tips, and a news section. But this site seems more geared toward selling its products on grant writing abd encouraging visitors to go to one of their grant writing seminars.

AOL Foundation The AOL foundation provides three different types of opportunities for proposals. The first is the Rural Telecommunications Leadership Award program, which looks at development and achievement in rural telecom. The second is the Interactive Education Initiative, which is "a grant program that provides teams of educators and others with seed money to develop and implement innovative, hands-on projects that improve student performance through the integration of interactive technology into the learning environment." The last program focuses on the Digital Divide. This grant focuses on empowering disadvantaged communities and populations with resources and technology.

Compaq Grants The Compaq Teaching with Technology Grant is a program where teachers are rewarded for innovative technology integration with a Compaq computer for their classroom. All applicants must be Windows based and only one winner per state.

Cisco Grants The Cisco program is for teacher and students. Its goals are to prepate students for careers in technology, as well as teaching educators more about technology, thereby bringing more implementation of technology with lessons. Advancement Via Individual Determination - AVID - is a business partner is this endeavor.
