Evaluation of instructional technology

My web site is not very long or elaborate, but I found it very useful because it is rather precise and it gets to the point.  The
original site is a web site that deals with the evaluation of instructional technology, from how to evaluate to why, and more.
I personally think it is important for people to know why evaluation is necessary and important, even more than how to evaluate.
This is why I chose the web site for the assignment.
I just copied the whole web site itself since it was short enough.  Interested more in depth about evaluation of instructional technology?  Please visit: http://www.wisc.edu/learntech/menus/evaluation.htm

Why Should I Evaluate the Use of Instructional Technology?

Are you using instructional technology with your students? Here are seven reasons why you
might want to assess and conduct an evaluation of your instructional technology.

1.Help develop and refine strategies for using instructional technology.
                       2.Help ensure quality instruction.
3.Help improve student learning by identifying problems, barriers & alternatives.
4.Help justify the time and effort spent on learning to use instructional technology.
5.Help other teaching faculty to understand the possible benefits & trade offs.
6.Help other teaching faculty from repeating common mistakes.
7.Help your students understand the rational and benefits from learning & using the
technology in order to overcome student resistance or apathy.
8.Help generate support for your efforts, e.g. financial funding, release time.
