All educators are responsible for using school computers in an ethical and
lawful manner. The use of information systems is a not a right, but a privilege
which may be revoked at any time for misuse.
All educators using school computers are to adhere to this Code of Ethics and
are subject to sanctions for any violations thereof.
Some violations may constitute criminal offense.
Sanctions may be imposed upon teachers who are found to have violated the
code. Sanctions are considered under these factors:
previous violations, the intent of the violation, the nature of the
violation, and the level of professional or public responsibility of the
individual. Access privileges may be revoked, school disciplinary action may be
taken, and/or appropriate legal action initiated according to district, school
or AUP policies already in effect.
