The Impact of the Technology Team Project
 

My project centered around a group of Junior High students whom I wanted to develop a program for that would both challenge and benefit them in all their special areas. I also wanted to develop a program that would not only benefit the students who were in the program, but would also benefit the rest of the students in the junior high and elementary schools. 

Each student was nominated by teachers from their specific grade level, as well as by testing criteria that had been previous developed by the district for admission into the Gifted Program. 

The group was originally designed to handle 20 students, but because of conflicts and time issues was narrowed down to 15 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.  As we continue on this year and for upcoming school years we hope to expand and increase the number of students that we are able to bring into the program.

As the Facilitator of Technology, it is my goal to use all possible avenues in order to develop and maintain the technology skills of the Wood Dale School District Teachers and Students. The use of  a Student Run Technology Classes is just one of the building blocks that I plan on using to obtain and maintain this objective..
