I began my educational career as a mathematics teacher in the fall of 1995 for West Leyden High School in Northlake, IL. During my first year I helped write a grant which obtained a T1 line for my school. In my second year I worked with three other teachers to implement a multiple-curriculum project that involved about 100 Freshman and Sophomore students, the four core curriculum, and numerous types of technology. For more information about this project click here.
During my fourth year at Leyden, my course load was reduced to two classes a day and I became Co-Technology Director and Webmaster for the District. During that year we were able to design and get approved our Model Technology Classroom Project.
Currently, heading into my fifth year at Leyden, we have restructured our tech staff to include one Technology Director, a full-time Network Manager, a Hardware Technician, and a Curriculum Integrator/Staff Developer. I will be the Technology Director and will be enjoying the challenges of implementing the Model Technology Classroom Project for its first year.
