University Laboratory High School Computer System Usage Agreement
Every student, faculty and staff member at University High School is given an e-mail account and allotted a certain amount of server space for their personal use. In exchange for access to the computer system and a personal e-mail account, each member of the school community is required to read and sign a contract which makes clear their rights and responsibilities, as well as making clear appropriate and inappropriate behaviors.
Abusive conduct includes, but is not limited to, alteration of system software and files, and placement of unlawful information, obscene or pornographic material, computer viruses, or harmful programs on or through the computer system in either public or private files. Computer staff and school administrators reserve the right to remove files, limit or deny access, and refer for disciplinary action. Users must also agree that they will not use their accounts to obtain, view or otherwise gain access to the material described above. Finally, there are a number of disclaimers regarding lost data or information, the lack of ability to guarantee uninterrupted service and final statements regarding agreement to not share passwords with others.
University Laboratory High School Site License Data
Unlike many schools, University Laboratory High School, has very few site licenses. Software is purchased for each machine through technology funds or funds of the department that owns the machine. We currently have site licenses for four software packages: a school site license for PC/TCP and university site licenses for Eudora, Netscape and Mathematica. All four of the applications are used by students, faculty and staff.
