b. Why did you select this site?
I selected this site for personal reasons. I have been wanting to put my weekly classroom newsletter on-line for a long time. Our district has a limited form and space on our district’s server, but this was not fitting my needs.
c. How might the site help you with your major project?
This site would be one that I would inform parents about when we did our Science unit on the Solar system.
d. What other uses might teachers have for this site?
Communication with parents is a very important part of a teacher’s job. This site is one easy way of using technology and communicating with parents. At my school, we are asked to send out a weekly parent newsletter. Early in the school year, I poll my parents to see how many have access to the Internet and e-mail. Each year the numbers increase. I have been copying and pasting my newsletter text to parents all year. The Teacher Web, would be much more effective way to communicate what is happening in the classroom. The format is simple. It is very easy for teachers to use and update information that they want parents to know. Parents may use this format to know what homework assignments have been assigned, and an explanation if necessary.
e. How did you make use of this site?
I decided not only to explore this site, but also to actually go through the steps and begin my own classroom newsletter. Again, it was very simple to use. Directions for use are clear and easy to implement. There are sample pages, different colors, and art clips to choose from. There is even a print out form that teachers can send to their parents with the URL on it.

f. What did you learn from your explorations?
This site is very easy to use and implement immediately.
g. To whom would you recommend this site, and for what purposes?
I would recommend this to colleagues that want a newsletter on-line. This is definitely a step in the right direction for the technology age.
