The evaluation component of project is a means to perfect the model. Evaluations for this program encompass four aspects: goal, content, implementation, and outcomes. Evaluations plan will examine project objectives and activities and it will be conducted at mid-term semester of study in order to check the progress of activities which have been planned to assist the project in meeting its performance objectives. Evaluations also is used primarily to evaluate the performance objectives. Summary evaluation will be used primarily to evaluate the performance objectives. The project will use the results of the evaluation to institutionalize the project here at UIUC, and to support the establishment of a prototype to be relicated elsewhere.
1. The project will, by its very concept, emphasize the importance of "thinking and acting globally." Evaluators will document the process of paradigm shifts in thinking from insular to global cultures and economic bases.
2. Pre-and post-test will be used to measure he students' depth of knowledge and the amount of information they have obtained before and after Module One.
3. Students will be asked to list their personal and other examples of the level and the extent of influence a person can have if he or she control certain kind of information.
4. Evaluation form will be developed to evaluate students' presentations of business opportunities in China and their international business plans in terms of content, format, etc.
5. Evaluation forms for each module will be developed by program faculty members which will include program content, delivery methods, the effectiveness of other related activities, etc. The evaluator will obtain an objectives as well as subjective assessment of students involved in this program in order to escertain what leadership skills have been assimilated, and what skills will need to be developed. These responses will be quantified in order to hone the program's responsiveness to and responsibility toward the leadership skills needed.
