This chart is for use in showing a student's improvement in group work.  This chart can later be added to a student's portfolio.  Discuss the criteria listed with the class.  While observing student group interactions, place an X in each box they exhibit.  After the initial observations return the chart to each student and place a star in the areas you would like to see them working toward.  Keep all records of charts to show improvements throughout the year.  You may not observe every student every lesson.  Start with those students who need encouragement to participate with their group members.
