Additional Materials To Use For
Ocean Unit
To begin the unit you will want to have
accumulated various ocean items to spark an interest in the students.
I plan to lay out items on tables for students to look through
at their own pace, perhaps have an ocean video running in the
corner, a website full of fish (SeaSky is good for this), books,
shells, etc.
Assessing Work:
I will grade group work using rubrics below,
group action plan and information obtained from group meetings.
Individual grades will be comprised of the research grade, individual
participation assessments and information obtained from group
meetings. I will then average the two grades together for a final
science grade for the quarter.
