Check on the planet each day at Earth Alert! This site explains what is going on around the Earth. Floods, storms, volcano eruptions, animal problems, fires, etc. This is a fabulous site that updates daily. It also includes volcano, hurricane, sun, planet and animal cams. I've used this site for daily planet reports from my students. They are required to choose one article and explain it to the class.

always have a clear view of the star we call the Sun. It includes

imager and a coronameter. It includes specifics of the Sun's atmoshere.
Also interesting is the SUNBURN
cam showing visibility, and ozone and ultraviolet levels. The Total
Ozone Mapping Spectrometer- (TOM) shows

program 'Perl' to use also) between them (as the crow flies). It also provides
a map showing the
two places, using the Xerox
PARC Map Server." This is exceptional for locating places on
the globe using Latitude and Longitude and calculating distances between
cities. You can type in any city to get the latitude and longitude
and get complete driving directions. Other information provided includes
elevation of city and population(currently 1990).
