| My endangered animal is native
to North America. There were once over a half million living in the western
prairies. Their population stretched
unbroken across the grasslands from southern Canada to northern Mexico. Today there are only a few dozen remaining and this colony is in Texas. They stand only 60 mm tall
and are 500 mm long including the tail. They
They are nocturnal animals.
They lived in the vast prairies and ate meat.

Location: Forida, United States of America Habitat: swamps and hammock forests Size: males weigh 130 pounds females weigh 70. Diet: hogs, rabbits, raccoons, armadillos, and deer Appendages: four legs four feet, walks on all fours Other: There are only 40-50
of these mammals left in the wild. It is a type of cat.

Location-North America (half of total population is in Alaska). Habitat-live along rivers. Size-10 to 14 pounds; body length is about 3 feet. Diet-Mostly fish. Appendages-two legs and two wings. Other information-this animal
is actually threatened, not endangered, because of it's Protection Act.
