Hyperstudio is a program that allows students to create multimedia presentations in the form of slide shows.  Students have the ability to access data on the Internet, create & edit QuickTime & AVI movies, capture images from cameras, use a wide variety of graphic & sound files, and have Mac-Windows-Web compatibility.
    Hyperstudio is not a new program.  However, there have been continued improvements that allow the user more options including the ability to post complete projects on the web.
    Hyperstudio is a product of Roger Wagner Publishing.  It can be purchased from many software retailers.
    The cost of the program varies depending on the number of computers being used.  Cost for 1 computer is $199.  If you want a site license for 10 computers, it will cost $795.
    Hyperstudio is available for both Mac & Windows.  Mac minimum requirements are: system 7.5, 68040 processor, 8 MB RAM, 30 MB HD space, 4X CD-ROM, QuickTime 3.0, and a color monitor.  Minimum PC requirements are: Windows 3.1, Pentium processor, 4 MB RAM, 35 MB HD space, CD-ROM, Sound Blaster compatible sound card, and 256 color support.
    One of the new features is additional button options.  These allow users to create additional effects using buttons in their presentation.
