Math
This site is a biographical listing of famous mathematicians and scientists. It gives accessibility to information by name or time period in which they lived.
I use this in my classroom as a station during our Renaissance thematic unit. The students go to this site with a data collection grid, recording important and interesting information on their assigned mathematician.
This site stimulates and motivates students with physical disabilities in grades 4-7 to pursue aeronautics-related careers via the development and delivery of accessible math education materials on the Internet. It has activities that are linked to a teacher/parent page which provides goals for each activity.
This is a good site to use to supplement many different mathematical ideas. I use it as a station that incorporates the skills that are currently being practiced.
This site contains a variety of math related sites for educators. Once at this site, you have the option of looking at Lesson Plans, Ideas and Activities, Board Games, Puzzles and Problems, Organiztions, and Applications. It can easily be adapted to fit the needs of your curriculum.
I use this site throughout the year, picking and choosing the lessons that fit my curriculum.
