The following information pertains to our main computer lab, which
can be used by any class. It does not include the lab that is used
for specific classes - C++, Yearbook, and Newspaper, or the Business
Department lab which has PC's. The following information also does
not contain information about hardware or software that are in
individual classrooms.

- ClarisWorks 4.0 - District License. Word Processing
program which includes a painting application, drawing
application, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Netscape Communicator 4.0 - Internet tool.
- Microsoft Word 6.0 - Word processing program.
- Power Point 4.0 - Multimedia presentation program.
- HyperStudio 3.0 - Multmedia presentation program that
allows for a nonlinear approach.
- Eudora 3.1 - Email application
- ClarisHomePage 3.0 - Application for making web
pages.
- Graphic Converter 3.2.1 - Converts pictures / graphics
to GIF or JPEG files.
- Mecc Programs - Amazon Trail 1.0 - A
canoe trip up the Amazon River in search of a medicinal plant to
help save the Incas. Students must make decisions about managing
their supplies, as well as exploring the rainforest, identifying
birds, mammals, insects and reptiles.; Number Munchers -
Math Games in which students "munch" target numbers (prime
numbers, odd,..); Odell Down Under 1.0 - Simulation of a
coral reef in which students gain an uderstanding of food chains
and webs.; Oregon Trail 1.1 - A simulation for social
studies and language arts which lets students travel the Oregon
Trail. The program enhances decision making skills and teaches
students about geography, migration, and expansion.
BodyScope - Designed for a biology class to allow students
to examine visual representations of the body. Program includes
quizzes about bones and organs of the body. TesselMania -
This application is designed for mathematics and art. It explores
concepts in geometry such as rotation, symmetry and tesselations.
World GeoGraph II - This application is designed to help
students understand basic concepts of geography.
- Sim City 2000 - 1.1 - Students play the role of mayor
in this city simulator and deal with human factors such as
residential space and employment, economic factors such as land
value and trade, survival factors such as disasters and crime, and
political factors such as public opinion and zoning.
- CareerView - Allows students to explore various
careers.
