ABA/Ostwald Band Composition Contest

The ABA/Ostwald Award was the first competition of band music composition in America, and is one of the most prestigious in that field. Because of its continuity, this award has produced more concert band music than any other competition of its kind. The Contest Committee, composed of ABA members, reviews the rules, screens and judges the entries biennially. Entries are unidentified as to composer and are judged totally on merit, thereby insuring complete artistic integrity.
