This program is an interactive reading program that alllows young readers the opportunity to explore reading without have all their reading skills in place. This program creates an environment where the child can learn to track print, build vocabulary, meet the characters in a story, and interact with each page of text. This program excites young readers with the graphics and interaction that takes place. A more skillful reader can also choose to read the story on their own. The program is very animated which stimulates young readers to read along or play along with the Sunnbuddy characters. This program is designed for all levels easy to challenging which is very helpful in a classroom of emergent readers. THE PAGE AT POOH CORNER- This web site is of interesti to primary teachers who enjoy Winnie the Pooh stories. We do a unit on Winnie the Pooh and use many of the resources that this web site offers. Young children love the adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Friends.

THE CHILDREN'S LITERATURE WEB GUIDE- This web site offers features such as new books; the Newberry & Caldecott winners; Best books of 1997; Commentary on Children's Books; Essential Kid Lit Websites; Discussion boards; and many additional links. The most helpful part of this site is the Essential Kid Lit Websites because of the Carol Hurst's Children's Literature Web Site that offers book reviews; teaching ideas; and creative groupings (by theme, by curriculum area, by grade level) of children's books.

LIBRARY IN THE SKY- This web site offers lesson plans for Lanugage Arts as well as Reading and Writing Resources. This site also includes lesson plans for English as a Second Language. The search can be narrowed to include specific lessons on grammar and creative writing among others. My favorite link to this web site includes READING- CINDERELLA which includes a dozen versions of this classis tale.
