Pre-lesson Activity: Using the Macintosh software I will transfer the pictures from the camera to individual folders for each student that we can add to as we go along. Student's will compose a sentence to about "what makes them special" to type on this page. We will also locate the student's birth date.

Objective: Student Center Page completion

Materials needed: PowerPoint Page 3 template, Computer, Pic file

Time span: 2-40 minute periods

Procedure:

• Students will be guided on how to transfer the picture to the template through the insert picture option. They will then use the picture toolbar to position the picture correctly.
• After the picture is inserted the students will type the text needed for this page including: Name, age, birthday, and one or two sentences about themselves.
• Students will then save this page.

Follow-up Activity: Students will be guided through a viewing of the three pages completed thus far. I think this will keep them excited and enthusiastic about the project.
