Pre-lesson Activity: Students will have their five favorite things chosen. We will have them spelled correctly on a piece of paper for them to copy. These words will be checked by the teacher to see if PowerPoint contains a graphic that would go along with the word. I will insert part of the song "A Few Of My Favorite Things" that will play while the page is being viewed.

Objective: "A Few of My Favorite Things"-Page 4 completion

Materials needed: PowerPoint page 4 template, computer, student list

Time span: 2-30 minute periods

Procedure:

• Students will type in the name of the favorite thing under the title supplied.
• Students will then go into the insert clipart toolbar and add a graphic for each "thing" listed except for color.
• Students will then save this page

Follow-up Activity: Discuss in groups and graph each area of favorite things. Tally and post outside the classroom. Use clipart pictures to put next to each category.
