Welcome to my web site! The purpose of this web site is to provide Second and Third Grade Teachers with ideas and links (web sites) to aid in the teaching of reading. Since students learn to read in various ways, I hope to provide some activities for word building (phonics), writing, self-selected reading and guided reading. Searching for lesson plan ideas and quality web sites can be time consuming...............especially when reading with children should be taking place! Many children's authors provide great sites with loads of activities and ideas for teachers to use in the classroom. My hope is that these sites may provide you with usable ideas for the teaching of reading and may help you to incorporate the use of technology into your reading lessons.
