Our Illinois Hypotheses

Alex, age 9, said, “Neoga will be cheaper than Bartlett because Bartlett is a bigger town.”

Bret, age 12, said, “Bartlett will be cheaper than Neoga because it is bigger and will be able to purchase more stuff and sell it easier because of all the people.”

Madi, age 5, said, “I think that Bartlett stuff will be a better price because there’s better and more grocery stores there.”

Matt, age 9, said, “Neoga will be cheaper because it’s a littler town out in the country with farms for eggs, milk and meat.”

Sam, age 12, said, “I think it will depend on different products.  Bartlett will be cheaper because of bulk buying, and Neoga has less room in the store for surplus items so they can’t order as much.  Neoga housing and income will be less because of location.  Neoga people may have a higher cost of groceries compared to their earnings.”
