Our Out of State Findings
New Orleans, Louisiana’s groceries totaled $24.02. This is less than Bartlett, Illinois’s list that totaled $26.55. Alex’s hypothesis was correct because he thought Bartlett would be more than New Orleans.
Central Point, Oregon’s groceries totaled $31.76. This is more than Bartlett, Illinois’s list
that totaled $26.55. Bret’s hypothesis
was correct about Central Point costing more, although they are not 2/3 more
than Bartlett.
Medford, Oregon’s groceries totaled $25.78. This is more than Neoga, Illinois’s list
that totaled $21.13. Madi’s hypothesis
was correct because she thought Medford would be higher than Neoga.
The price list from Gillet, Pennsylvania contained prices
for hamburger, coffee and chicken that Matt determined were mistakes or
typos. We decided to exclude these 3
items for comparing Gillet to Neoga.
The Gillet groceries totaled $23.32.
This is more than Neoga’s list that totaled $15.57 without the
hamburger, coffee, and chicken. Matt’s
hypothesis was correct as he thought Gillet would be more expensive than Neoga.
Yorba Linda, California’s groceries totaled $30.44. This is more than Neoga, Illinois’s list
that totaled $21.13. Sam’s hypothesis
was correct because she thought that Yorba Linda would be more expensive than
Neoga, Illinois.
