Computer - Assisted Instruction and the Emotionally and Behaviorally Disordered Student: Although this project is specifically tailored to Special Education students, it also has implications for students in regular education.  Regular education students and teachers could benefit from the use of technology, effective teaching methods, and positive feed back to help failing students.  I believe it would be interesting to see the similarities between the behavior-disordered student and students in regular education.  I also think that it would be beneficial to measure the success of the instruction by more than just on-task behaviors depending on the student.  Perhaps for some if not all students the quality of their work could be examined.

Communication, Publication & Dedication:  I was really impressed with the goals of this project.   It will be great to involve the students, staff and community.    I think that by including the staff you increase morale and by including the community you present the school and school district in a positive light.  In Houston I.S.D., every opportunity to present the schools and things that the district is doing, is valuable in refocusing public opinion because the media tends to focus on the negative.   The other aspect that I think is important is increasing communication especially with parents.  I would like to see if parental involvement increases as communication increases.

Kristin's Millennium Museum Project:   The thing thing that I liked about this project is that is appropriate for several grade levels, possibly K - 12.  I think it will be interesting to see the various levels of the student work as presented as a unit.  Will you use the same rubric/expectations to assess students' work?  What expectations would be different as a result of grade level?
