Chinese Festivals are essence of the accumulation of Chinese history, legends and culture. In this page, you'll learn the origins, special food and some customs for 11 traditional Chinese Festivals. The design of this page is that of a calendar of January 1998 to February 1999, when a cycle of an anual lunar calendar is complete. All solar date slots on the calendar contains two dates: solar dates on top and lunar dates below. Since most Chinese festivals are based on lunar calendar, the lunar dates are important to Chinese people.
