Algebra 1
Algebra
is the basic language of mathematics. With algebra you
can describe and predict relationships about money, population, temperature,
and size - anything that uses numbers. Algebra saves time! Architects
use algebra to design before they build, computers use the shorthand
of algebra, and every time you use a fomula, so do you.
Geometry
Every
day, you trust that people understand the meaning of the words you use.
In geometry you will start by learning some of the basic terms of geometry
and become familiar with the tools you'll use.
Calculus and
Mathematica
A
first course in calculus and analytic geometry; basic techniques of
differentiation and integration with applications including curve sketching,
antidifferentioation, the Riemann integral, fundamental theorem, exponential
and circular functions. All assignments and quizzes will be completed
on the computer.
This
course is for seniors who have already successfully completed a year
of calculus.
