I live in Steeleville, IL. It is a small community
with a population of about 2200. It is located 10
minutes from the Mississippi river and in Southern
Illinois somewhere between Carbondale and St. Louis.
Mining used to be the main industry in the area and if
could be again depending on how things go in the State
legislature. The other big industries in southern
Illinois are farming and the prisons. We have two
grade schools, and one high school in our town.
