Web Radio Resources
This semester I will be working with an Independant Study
student who is interested in a career in radio broadcast. He will be working
on a web portfolio and I would like for him to study (or work) with some
of the on-line radio stations.
NPR Online - The National
Public Radio website has many links to its programs. There are several
links to live or recorded broadcasts that you can listen to.
BBC Online - The British
Broadcasting Company broadcasts live over the Internet. This site gives
an interesting perspective on world events.
World Radio Network - A compalation
of radio news sites from over twenty countries. Again, it is interesting
to see the world's view on global events and events within the US.
Youth Radio Front Page - A
California group that publishes student-created broadcasts on the Internet.
ABC Radio- Several radio
stations owned by the American Broadcasting Company are broadcasted on-line
at this site.
WILL - The
University of Illinois spnsored radio station broadcasts from Gregory Hall
on campus. These reports are availble in audio format at this site.
Bloomberg News
Radio provides listeners with up-to-the-second business, national and
international news.
