World War I Resources
As part of a web based project my senior English students
researched the literature of the World Wars. They found diary entries,
songs, photos, speeches, posters, poems and short stories. These are a
few of resources that we used for the project.

Poets of the Great War- profiles of six great British WWI poets, a
timeline of the war and causalty numbers from countries involved in the
war

War - Interactive Timeline- a beautiful website based on the PBS series
about WWI. This includes maps, resources and interviews

Hypermedia
Edition- a great source for the text of WWI Britich poems. Links to
women authors and trench poems are also included. These is also a section
of WWI propganda posters.
British
War Poetry- WWI- This page is part of the Modern History Sourcebook,
a great reference site with links to many quality history sites. Here is
the text to many WWI poems.
"Marching
Men": War Verses.- A collection of WWI poems by Helena Coleman. This
site is part of the Celbration of Women Writers web page, a very complete
resource of literature from many countries are eras.
