    Angel Island Extension Activities: This is a useful teachers' site for providing background for Angel Island. It also suggests worthwhile extension activities for teachers to use in the classroom.

  • Quarter 2: "Blast to the Past" (Ancient Civilizations: Egypt, Greece and Rome)

    The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World: Great site for student research.

    Mythology: Click on a specific God or Goddesses to learn more about him/her.

  • Quarter 3: "Renaissance: Rebirth to Revolution" (Middle Ages and Renaissance)

    Castles: Terrific student site to not only learn about castles, but also many aspects of like in the Middle Ages, such as religion and daily life.

  • Quarter 4: "Imagination for a Changing World" (Inventions, WWII)

    The Inventors Archive: This site provides biographical information on famous inventors. Students may also search by inventions to learn background information on the selected inventions. I appreciate this site because the text is understandable for my sixth grade students.

    Henry Ford Museum: Includes stories of inventors, such as Henry Ford, Ford Motor Company, Thomas Edison, and The Wright Brothers.

    The Holocaust Museum: Clickable links to teacher and student resource. Includes suggestions for teaching about the Holocaust.
