This reference
guide was a product of a side job that I took while a visiting graduate
student at San Francisco State University in Fall 1997. I was hired
as an educational consultant to Digital Aeon, a small Multimedia
Gulch firm south of Market St. whose business was developing and giving
training in software applications for the preprint industry in the Bay
Area. Unfamiliar with 4-Sight's
iSDN Manager 4 at first, I
translated my own learning experience into a reorganized reference guide
for learners of the application co-written with Victoria Lief-Bertotti,
the manager of Digital Aeon. In addition to making the organization
and procedural explanations in 4-Sight's own guide more user-friendly,
I made screenshots of each step that a user confronts visually while initiating
the various ISDN mailing options in iSDN Manager 4. My text, unit
organization, and screen shots were ultimately included in the final published
reference guide in 1998, the graphic design and print-ready booklet prepared
by Denise Richards.
