English Institute (IEI), the non-university ESL arm of the Division
of English as an International Language (DEIL) at the University
of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Taught English Structure (Grammar)
in the Fall '93, Spring '96, and Fall '96 semesters and Reading in the
Spring '97 semester. For the latter course, I designed a class Web page
that contained assignments, links to on-line readings, etc. Taught Current
Events for ESL students Fall '99, Spring 2000, and Fall 2002. In addition,
I taught for a special one-month summer ESL program in 1994 for Japanese
students from Kinki University, Osaka, involving field trips to local points
of interest in the Illinois-Missouri area.
