The following links are materials that will be
used to help explain the concepts of Java and Active X "applets" and
how they can be used integrated in teacher and student created web
documents and projects.
- From the creators of Java, Sun
Microsystems, comes the most
comprehensive and credible site for Java and how it is being
integrated.
- Gamelan:
The Official Directory for Java: This
site includes reference materials and tutorials on Java and
ActiveX. Freely downloadable examples are broken into categories
on the web page for the users easy perusal.
- The
Java Boutique is another site that
specializes in providing users with information about Java and
related applications, as well as a host of freely downloadable
Java Applets.
- Claris Homepage 3.0 is one of many web
editting tools that eases the integration of applets within a web
page.
- FrontPage 98 is a more complex web development
suite that allows users to integrate predefined "web-bots" and a
variety of applets in many programming lanquages.
- Claris Homepage and FrontPage 98 will be my
web editors of choice for showing users within my program how to
embed applets and scripts.
