A problem is a statement expressing the cause or correlation you are trying to explain. Another way to think about it is that it is a proposed idea or an explanation for how or why something acts as it does in nature.

Questions to ask yourself about the problem you entered (check all that your work meets):

Can you identify an experimental control?

Did you clearly identify the causal link or correlation you are trying to explain?

   Can you identify the variable?

Can you identify any controlled variables if they exist?

Did you completely state the problem or explanation you are proposing using complete sentences?

If you left any boxes unchecked, you should review your problem and see if it needs revision.
