Develop
an online professional development activity that would help to promote
education reform more broadly in your school, district and/or state. Develop modules that will provide teachers
in your school, district, and state to earn Continuing Education Units or
CPDU’s needed to obtain recertification.
I will be reviewing my school improvement plan, technology plan, and
teacher recertification manual from the state of Illinois to select
activity. Since this will be for a
district I am just entering, I obtained the documents and am reviewing them to
select activity.

Educator's Guide to Evaluating the
Use of Technology in Schools and Classrooms
Evaluating
educational technology programs can be a challenging endeavor. This guide was
developed for the U.S. Department of Education by the American Institutes for
Research in conjunction with its formative evaluation of the Technology
Literacy Challenge Fund. Its intended informal style and accompanying
worksheets provide the basic principles of evaluation and are designed to help
district and school personnel gain an overview of and ideas for evaluating
local technology initiatives.
Wisconsin's Model

This UW System Administration

Distance Education Clearinghouse
The Distance Education
Clearinghouse web site brings together distance education and related resources
from Wisconsin, national and international sources. New items are being added to
the Clearinghouse on a continuing basis. It is managed and maintained by the
University of Wisconsin-Extension, in cooperation with its partners and other
UW institutions.
TEACH provides support for
investment in educational technology and telecommunications access for schools,
libraries, and colleges. TEACH seeks to enable educational institutions to take
advantage of gains in technology and communications, in order to improve teaching
and learning, and to provide students with the skills necessary to live in a
complex world.
