Siberian Tiger
Description The Siberian tiger is the largest of all living cats. Its hind limbs are longer than its forelimbs for jumping. No two tigers have the same pattern of stripes and each has very distinctive facial markings.
Habitat The tiger is a solitary animals; the only social unit is a female with her young. It inhabits regions with moderately dense cover. It largely stalks and ambushes its prey. Each tiger has a home range, and males usually defend large territories encompassing the territories of several females.
Food
The diet is varied, ranging from deer and cattle to
frogs and fish; carrion is also eaten. Tigers actively search
for prey, traveling six to twelve miles a night, but they only catch one
out of every ten to twenty animals they stalk.
