 Specials: Art, Music, Spanish or P.E. (students) and Professional Development Time (teachers)

 Carpet Meeting and Read Aloud

Reader's Workshop: Independent reading, guided reading, book clubs, literature circles, conferencing and reading response journals.

 Inquiry: Science and/or Social Studies

 Organization time: classroom jobs, room cleanup, homework and desk check, independent reading at desks.
