The Stem Experiment
Materials:

a white carnation
-
two plastic cups
-
red and blue food coloring
-
water
Procedure(to be completed by
teacher four hours prior to science):

Fill one of the cups with water
and red food coloring.

Fill the other with water and blue
food coloring.
-
Split the stalk of the white flower
in half.
-
Place each half of the stalk in
a separate cup of water.
