Resources for Electrifying your Portfolio

There are three software programs that would enhance my project Electrify Your Portfolio! Software choices are: Power Point 98, IEP Works Pro and Write On! Plus. These can be incorporated into the language arts curriculum currently being used by Pleasant Hill School.

  • Power Point 98- Helps users easily illustrate and deliver their projects. Users have a wide variety of templates to use. Output formats include--onscreen shows, slides, color overheads, handouts and web pages. Student portfolios are easy to create, edit and manage. Great for collaboration among classrooms.
  • IEP Works Pro - Enables user to quickly and easily compile Individualized Educational Programs. Create or customize from an extensive library. Goals comply with federal, state and local rules. Academic goals can be customized for use in any curricula. Database search and paste.
  • Write On! Plus - Literature-based writing and reading activities for the classroom. Literature is high-interest. Activities develop core writing curriculum skills and will work well inside personal electronic portfolios. CD-ROM's include: teacher's manual, learning objectives, parent letter templates, evaluation and assessment masters, staff development program and over 25 MB of clip media. Many packages and levels to choose from. Grouped age/grade appropriate.

An educational software checklist was used to choose these programs. This checklist is one that I designed specifically for use at Pleasant Hill School.

Below are several web sites that contain useful information for our language arts curriculum. These sites contain a wide variety of material.
