Springfield Public School District's Acceptable Use Policy covers e-mail guidelines and telecommunications. The policy was developed October, 1995. It states how and when to use the district's e-mail.
District 186 Provides free e-mail and Internet access to all staff members. E-mail is to be used for communication within the district. Persons are expected to keep up with district mail as with anything else--i.e. phone calls. E-mail network may not be secure and staff has the responsibility to keep back-up copies of their own program. E-mail is considered the same as phone calls and business should not disturb classroom instruction. Administrators are to forward any pertinent messages to their employees.
District users of the Internet should not use copyrighted material without the author's prior approval or violate Board police, use any system for commercial benefit, publish inaccurate, abusive, obscene, threatening or illegal information, and commit any acts of vandalism in any system. Use is to be restricted to work in instructional programs.

My classroom computer has At Ease, Mecc, FileMaker Pro, Kid Pix, Power Point, Word, Microsoft Office 98 and Claris 4.0. Claris Home Page will be reinstalled on my school computer in the fall. (It was on my previous computer that I moved to another classroom when I received the G3.)
