Creating our class web site
Exercise One:
-
Open a blank page in Netscape Composer
-
Write "A project" in Heading 1 size, aligned to the center
-
Write a short description of a project you have carried on with your students,
in an indented paragraph (3/4 lines)
-
Color the background and the heading.
-
Check Spelling.
-
Save as "project.html" and preview, then close.
Exercise Two:
-
Open a blank page in Netscape Composer
-
Write "Daily Routine" in Heading 1, aligned to the center.
-
In the center write: Early Morning, Mid Morning, Midday, Afternoon, End
of the day. One heading below the other in size heading 3.
-
Insert a horizontal line.
-
In heading 3 write the first sub-title :Early Morning, and below, in an
indented paragraph, write a short description of what you do in the
morning.

Do the same with the other sub titles. Separate each paragraph with a horizontal
line.

Color the background.
-
Highlight the subtitles and make "anchors" or targets.
-
Link the headings on top to these titles.
-
Check spelling.
-
Save as "routine.html"and preview.Then Close
Exercise Three:

Open a blank page in Netscape Composer.
-
Write "Important Themes" in Heading 1, aligned to the center.
-
Insert a table with 3 rows and 2 columns, aligned to the center and occupying
the 80% of the window.
-
On the left side of the table write three heading , one in each cell (such
as:Social Studies, Science, Entertainment, Art, etc; or more specific ones,
such as: Illinois, Simple Machines, Dinosaurs, etc)

In the right cells, write the names of the topics, people, places, programs,
titles of books, or other things, related to the headings on the left.
(No more than 3 for each cell)

Save as "themes.html"
Exercise Four:
-
Visit http://www.clipart.com
-
Create new folders for images, backgrounds,lines,buttons or icons, and
animation.
-
Save at least five of each items in the corresponding folders.
Exercise Five:
-
Choose a Web Browser: Yahoo, Infoseek, Lycos, AltaVista, Metacrawler,etc.

Look in the web for the names of topics, places, programs, etc., that you
have mentioned in your list of themes.
-
Copy the most important URLs obtained in the search.
-
Open a page in Netscape Composer. Open "themes.html"
-
Highlight the names on the right columns of the table and link them to
the URLs you have found.
-
Save and Preview.
Exercise Six:

Open a blank page. Insert a background.

Write "My Class" as a title
-
Insert a line from your file
-
Insert a table, two columns, no border, no equal width between columns,
100% of the window.
-
In the left cell make a bullet list and write: Main, A Project ,In
Action, Themes, Write us
-
In the right cell insert the picture of King School, and below explain
what the reader will find in that site. Link the items on the left to the
pages you have created.

Save as "index.html"
