I am a technology coordinator in a one building district in Morton Grove, a northern suburb near Chicago. Visit District 70's web page at: www.parkview70.net
Technology made an entrance in my life in 1982 when, as a newly hired librarian, I was "presented" 2 Apple II Plusses and asked to develop a curriculum for grades 6-8. Utilizing the two Apples and a 19 inch Sony television, I began Park View's trip on the road to technology!
Technology
is in full swing with a networked building consisting of 2 computer labs
and computers in every classroom. All computers are connected to
the Internet. My teaching responsibilities include a 7th grade class,
The
Mall Project, and an 8th grade publishing class, Sprint Print.
When I'm not spending time with technology, I enjoy my family: my husband, Rocky, my 13 year old daughter, Rebecca and my 9 year old twins, Rachel and Mark. In addition, Auggie, our three year old miniature dachshund, also is very pleasant company! One other "hobby" of mine is quilting, which although is done with a machine and not by hand, provides me with a break from "illegal operation errors" and other "enjoyable" stress filled moments.
