Good Sites
a rubric for evaluating student sites
This site is dedicated to helping teachers grade student web sites.
It seeks to answer the question, what should a good student site
look like? To answer this question, I carefully studied four web style guides:
Next I cross referenced each
guide to determine what these style guides believe
comprises a successful web site. From this research I developed
the categories you see in the table of contents. Each page
begins with about one or two screens worth of information
about a particular standard. These standards can help you
determine what to teach your students. At the bottom of each
page is a link marked "to rubric" which provides you with
a rubric you can use for evaluating students concerning
that particular area. In the end, hopefully your students
will be producing good sites.
