Wow! What a great idea! There is no doubt that this is a great assessment tool. This reminds me of my mom checking over my rough drafts of essays in high school. She would put comments in the margins. Having access to a database as IPP would allow my mom or anyone else to still make comments about my work - right on the work. IPP allows immediate feed back to each section of an essay, etc. I also liked being able to read the comments that other readers had for the paper. I think IPP would provide a great way for us to provide feed back to our group members on their projects. One question though: Does IPP only work for papers that have one webpage, or can it be used with projects that have multiple pages?
Drawbacks: One would have to understand how ColdFusion works, and have access to ColdFusion and full time internet connection.
I made comments in the article "CTER OnLine: Evaluation of an online master of education focusing on curriculum, technology and education reform."
