Group Report: Interview 1
We all felt that we were able to direct the interview adequately. We had prepared questions ahead of time, but did not feel the need to restrict ourselves to those questions.
Each of us wrote our summaries shortly after completing the interviews, so details were still fresh. Some used a tape recorder, some did not. The subjects being recorded were somewhat uncomfortable at first, but soon got used to the tape recorder.
Our subjects seemed to all understand what we wanted. They were always able to answer our questions, although a few questions needed to be reworded.
Each of us was pleased with how the interviews went. We also felt that there were some things that could improve our interviews. We all found that there were questions we wished we had asked, especially after reading some of the other interview reports. Previewing our questions more thoroughly might have helped us be more comfortable during the interview.
