Dried Apples on a String
(When people did not have refrigerators, they had to preserve their food
in other ways.)
Cut out the entire core of
a red delicious apple. Slice the apple crosswise to make rings.
Hang the slices on a string to dry. For a quick snack, pull a dried
apple from the string.
-
Interview three different people
who witnessed the same specific event (fire, snowstorm, parade, ball game,
etc.) Did they tell you the same exact information? Try to
figure out what actually happened. Discuss different perspectives
and how history decides what really happened.
