Summary of Unit:
| In this four week lesson, students will create and deliver to the class an autobiographical multimedia presentation which will include images, written text, sounds, and narration. |
Objectives of Unit:
| To introduce students to the concept of multimedia communication. |
| To practice writing autobiographies. |
| To present a presentation that requires public speaking. |
Prerequisite Skills:
| Students will have advanced word processing skills. |
| Students will know how to create a slide presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint. |
| Students will be familiar with the many features of Microsoft Word. |
Time Frame:
| This unit will take approxiametly 4-5 weeks to complete. However, additional time can be alloted if necessary. This unit will be taught in Core Exploratory where there is not set curriculum. Core Exploratory classes meet for 50 minutes each day for nine weeks. In Core class Teachers instruct curriculum projects that could not be taught in a regular classroom due to time restraints. |
