What is the TLT Key Series

 

The TLT Key Series is Technology Applications and Integration Training for all classroom teachers. The complete program consist of three levels (Literacy, Adapting, Transforming) which build or scaffold on each other.

Each of the three levels will be 14 hrs of training, delivered in a series of 2 hr modules. The modules will all be aligned with the ISTE - National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers. The 7 modules will be chosen from a menu of offerings at each level. An advisor/mentor will work with the school to plan a program meeting the needs of the school and the teachers.  A Cohort of teachers from a single district will take the series together.

The purpose of the training is allow classroom teachers to progress along the continuum from using technology as a productivity tool, to the point of actually integrating technology into the classroom learning environment. Making it as seamless and natural as the blackboard or any other tool in the hands of a skilled and caring teacher.
